This is my third year in the club. I've river guided in a few places, but Idaho (insert potato joke here) is by far the coolest area I've ever been. Big rapids, stunning scenery and spending six days WITH OUT a cell phone, facebook or text messages that say "LOLZ, wut r u up 2??" is pretty amazing.
Cool facts about me that aren't very useful: I know Pirate's full name and birthday, I'm damn good at Pig Latin (oshjay ookshay upay ithway atfay ickchays) and I can play the harmonica.

This is my third year in the Excursion
Club and my first year leading trips. I've been four-wheeling, hiking,
kayaking, and camping for as long as I can remember. I recently picked up
backpacking, and am also learning to surf. Regardless of the venue, I love
getting outside and enjoying nature, and hope to lead some great trips this

HELLO! I'm a 3rd year Electrical Engineering major with the love of the outdoors. I joined the club in Winter08, fell in love, and here I am as a publicity officer spreading the love around and about campus. Through the club I learned to rockclimb, kayak, and shoot paint at people i've only just met ;D I plan to lead some snowboarding trips as well as observatory sessions. I also play intramural tennis (co-ed & advanced singles), racquetball, and table tennis. I strive off of dancing to really loud music and stuffing my face w/ yummy plates of FOOD =] ... I have a bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering, yet I live in an '83 Westy and lead trips for the excursion club. I focus primarily on Rock Climbing and Surfing. I recently cracked up for about two days when I heard my friend ask a girl, who he was trying unsuccessfully to teach to ride a bicycle, if she was into anything outdoorsy. To which she replied only, "The outdoors!?...Yuk!" <true story> Hopefully if your reading this you'll come out and see why that is so funny, if not kind of sad.

Hello! This is my 3rd year here at UCSB. I'm pretty much obsessed with rock climbing ever since I was a Freshman and walked into my first Excursion Club meeting by myself, was convinced to
hop into a car with a bunch of strangers, and took off for Joshua tree for one of the most epic climbing trips UCSB has ever seen. I now consider many of the "strangers" on that trip to be some of my best friends. Just be careful about slacklining in Joshua tree.....
