This is my third year in the club. I've river guided in a few places, but Idaho (insert potato joke here) is by far the coolest area I've ever been. Big rapids, stunning scenery and spending six days WITH OUT a cell phone, facebook or text messages that say "LOLZ, wut r u up 2??" is pretty amazing. Cool facts about me that aren't very useful: I know Pirate's full name and birthday, I'm damn good at Pig Latin (oshjay ookshay upay ithway atfay ickchays) and I can play the harmonica. Email me if you have any questions about the club, leading trips, going on trips, using our hottub when we're not around (don't!), etc.

Slacklining is the way to go. Go try something new! See ya around. T-roy out...

I graduate in 08 with a degree in Computer Science, but could not leave beautiful Santa Barbara. I grew up outdoors and would live there if only there were wireless. I like to do it all, from the surf to the snow and all points in between, as long as it's outdoors

I am a second year Political Science major at UCSB and this is my second year in excursion club. I enjoy camping, fishing, hiking, skiing, and paintball. However, I'm most passionate about running and I hope to inspire others to love it as much as I do. I also enjoy laser tag, pizza, and just having a good time.

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body. It's to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "holy shit what a ride"!

I am a 5th year Bus-Econ major. I have so much good time living here going excursion club trips, that I keep postponing my graduation. I usually organize paintball games and lead multiday trips, but I participate almost all club activities. I have always considered myself as afraid of heights but that didn't keep me from skydiving or climbing 200 foot rocks.

I have a bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering, yet I live in an '83 Westy and lead trips for the excursion club. I focus primarily on Rock Climbing and Surfing. I recently cracked up for about two days when I heard my friend ask a girl, who he was trying unsuccessfully to teach to ride a bicycle, if she was into anything outdoorsy. To which she replied only, "The outdoors!?...Yuk!" Hopefully if your reading this you'll come out and see why that is so funny, if not kind of sad.

I'm a third year environmental studies major who tries to spend as much time at the beach as possible. My philosophy: Don't stress, life is a gift-- so get out there and celebrate it every chance you get...or something like that. Besides kayaking, my passions include music & dancing, biking, ocean swimming, climbing, and sharing these interests with others. Join the club, get outside, do it now, you won't regret it. Peace!

Hello! This is my 3rd year here at UCSB. I'm pretty much obsessed with rock climbing ever since I was a Freshman and walked into my first Excursion Club meeting by myself, was convinced to hop into a car with a bunch of strangers, and took off for Joshua tree for one of the most epic climbing trips UCSB has ever seen. I now consider many of the "strangers" on that trip to be some of my best friends. Just be careful about slacklining in Joshua tree.....

Hey there. I'm a second year Computer Science major. I live for that naturally occurring, cephalic ecstasy: thrills and chills. I love ascending to greater heights whether it be by foot, bike or stealth feet (rock climbing). I'm always down for an adventure and will contribute to make the experience better for everyone. The more scared you are of something, the more exhilarating it is to try!

I'm Alec and I am a second year Comm. and Anthro major. Trip ideas fly into my head like the skittles you throw at that one guy taking up two seats in the movie theater. Some things about me, I'm a Leo who loves free food and shredding gnar biscuits in my free time. I like to keep things simple and fun, but will always put in the extra effort. I strictly follow rule #76: No excuses, Play like a Champion, and push people who come with me to get a little out of their comfort zone. The very best stories and the most cherished experiences come from those decisions that make you a little bit uncomfortable at the time. If at any time I make someone's parents worry, please tell me. That kind of information makes me feel like I just drank some dank whiskey on a cold, cold night. See you out there.

Hey! I'm Christy, and I'm a fourth-year at UCSB studying the digital media arts. Outdoor adventures give me a little time away from my computer geekiness. I love camping, skiing, sailing, skydiving - you name it, I'll learn it! I just can't stop traveling and adventuring ever since I returned from studying abroad in Europe!
