Seeing as we live so ridiculously close to the ocean, it only makes sense that we would lead surfing trips. Some of the most popular places are San Simeon and Montana de Oro, and Jalama, but we also have trips local trips to El Capitan, Refugio, and our backyard favorite: Deveroux/Sands Beach.

We organize a few surf lessons throughout the year for those who have never been before, and usually at least a surf trip each quarter for those who love to ride the waves, or at least make a hearty attempt to do so.


Surfing trips are great because even if you do not know how to surf, you can still have a great time hanging out on the beach with awesome people and around camp. The club has a few longboards and wetsuits that members can borrow for the surf trips or lessons so people can get a taste for the sport before they invest a large sum of money.
